Good afternoon 2nd Grade Families,
Here is the Week 24 Newsletter and its highlights:
•2nd and 3rd grade’s Lenten Mass will be our next all school Mass THIS Friday, 3/2 at 11:15 am. Please plan to join us to see your students participate in this beautiful Liturgy!
•First Reconciliation is quickly approaching on Saturday, March 10th at 10 am. The mandatory rehearsal will be THIS Thursday, March 1st from 6-7:30pm.
•Also, please remember, our weekly “Living Faith at Home” assignments go home Fri. & are due Mon. Please be sure that you’re completing them with your student.
•Look for many assignments from last trimester going home this week, since Trimester 3 begins today! Some of these assignments will include: Unit 4 Math tests/quizzes, Social Studies Unit 3 tests, & many reading activities. Please be sure to review these with your students.
•2nd Grade’s Zoo Field Trip will be next month, Tuesday, March 27th.
•Permission slips will be going out this week. Please return ASAP.
•If you’re interested in volunteering as a driver/chaperone, please e-mail me ASAP, and be sure you’re cleared to drive with Ms. Clariza at the front desk.
•Science Dioramas – I sent home a letter with students explaining this project today. For this project, each student will need a shoe box to create his/her science diorama. We are also hoping for additional donations (as listed on the letter) to help students create the plants, animals, etc. in their dioramas. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m hoping to collect these materials by next Monday, 3/5.
•February Reading Calendars are due THIS WEDNESDAY, 2/28! Our February Reading Party will be this Friday. Students may bring Dr. Seuss books to school (labeled with students’ name)! We’ll be celebrating his birthday, which happens to fall on Friday!
•Please RSVP for this year’s Adult Gala (held on March 10th) as soon as possible if you haven’t already. Contact Sarah Clariza with your RSVP via phone (858)-454-2461, email email@example.com, or in person at the front office.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. See you all on Thursday evening at 6 pm in the church!
