Welcome Second Grade Adventurers!

My name is Michelle Campagna and I will be your child's second grade teacher!  I am very excited and feel extremely blessed to be a part of this wonderful SMA family.  Although this is my third year here at Stella Maris teaching second grade, I've been in the teaching profession for almost 20 years.  With a Professional Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and a BCLAD (Spanish), my experience spans TK - 12th grades as a substitute teacher and as a bilingual teacher throughout the SDUSD, as well as, in schools such as Francis Parker, Our Lady's School, Stella Maris Academy, and Paul Ecke Elementary School in Encinitas.  Prior to receiving my teaching credential from National University, I graduated from SDSU with a BA in International Business, emphasis of Latin American Culture and Spanish as a second language.  I was blessed to have the opportunity to live in Valencia, Spain, and travel to Mexico and Costa Rica, where I continued my studies in the Spanish language, and live the cultures visited.  As you will learn, my studies of the Latin American Cultures developed my interest in Rainforests around the world.  I am looking forward to sharing with your children my love of the environment and rainforests throughout this year together.  Also, I am looking forward to sharing a faith-filled journey through the Sacraments focusing on First Reconciliation and the First Holy Eucharist with your children.  I feel blessed to be a part of such a wonderful chapter in their lives.  If you would like to read more about the different things your children will be learning throughout the year, click here.  Get ready for the Adventure of Second Grade together!
