Second Grade Newsletter: November 6th, 2023
Curriculum:
We will be continuing our work in chapter 2 of Math. The children are continuing to practice problem-solving skills and using words, numbers and pictures to explain their thinking. We have also been discussing and comparing numbers with 3 digits, as well. The students will be making something to help their gingerbread man to cross the river in the Science center this month. We will share and discuss them the week we come back after break. In Writer’s Workshop the students have been adding more adjectives and sound words to their writing pieces. I can’t wait to hear their stories at the end of this week.
Parent/Teacher Conferences:
I am so thrilled to see all of you during conferences during the week of November 14-17th. This Friday, I will be sending home some questions for you to answer to drive our conference more successfully. Please get those back by the following Monday, in time for conferences. If you haven’t signed up for a conference yet, please do so as soon as you can. If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to contact me.
